Thunderbird and Netting: Snowshoe Imagery, Meaning, and Power with Kenneth Lister – A pair of Algonquian snowshoes in the Royal Ontario Museum collection are uncommon due to their large size and the image of a Thunderbird that embellishes their netting. To test their practical application in the bush, Cree elders constructed snowshoes with similar dimensions.
