The 2015 White Cat White wine has the following tasting notes:
This pleasant, easy drinking, white wine is “Summer in a Glass”. It has a candied citrus nose, aromas of fresh mown grass, with white peach and orange notes. There is a sweetness on the tongue and nicely balanced acidity. It will be a great accompaniment to a cream dishes such as fettuccine Alfredo, white fish in a dill cream sauce, coconut curry, cheese platters, or just on its own.
The 2015 Baco Noir wine has the following tasting notes: This full bodied red wine is a “party in your mouth”. It has a ripe jammy cherry nose with aromas of red currants, cloves, pepper and tobacco. This complex wine will be a great accompaniment to blue cheese and caramelized onion burgers, mixed cheese and nut platters, pork loin with a plum sauce, after dinner cigars or just on its own.
The 2014 Aberarder Red wine has the following tasting notes: This elegant, full bodied, garnet red wine is a well-balanced blend of cabernet grapes. It has a long smooth smoky finish with leather, licorice, tobacco and baking spices on the nose and ripe dark fruits and baking spices on the tongue. It will be a great accompaniment to roast beef, pizza, blue cheese, mushroom swiss burgers, or just on its own.
Alton Farms Estate Winery has been selling wine for over three years from the store at the Estate Winery at 5547 Aberarder Line in Plympton Wyoming. With the introduction of a VQA line of wines late in 2015, Alton Farms is pushing to increase sales by selling at local farmer’s markets and restaurants. So far three farmer’s markets, Grand Bend, Petrolia and Point Edward, have been hosting the winery. 17 restaurants in the local area have started featuring the wines and are featured on the Winery website. In honour of our White Cat release we will be accepting donations in exchange for tastings. The money raised will be donated to “Cat Chance”.
