The Sentimental Journey B17-G Flying Fortress, part of the Commemorative Air Force (CAF), will be in Sarnia June 19-25. She is exceptionally rare being only one of 10 B-17Gs in the world that is still ﬂying out of almost 13,000 produced from 1936 to 1945. 8,000 of them were lost in combat.
Rides on the plane will be offered throughout the week for a fee. The week of activities including the Sentimental Swing Dance and Dinner Event on June 22, marks the Anniversary of some of the most signiﬁcant aerial combat of the air war over Europe.
