Take the time to enjoy this fun, scenic, & inspiring 5 km walk/run or a 10 km run www.stclairriverrun.ca. (early-bird discount ends June 30th.)
All participants meet at Brander Park, Port Lambton, and are bussed north to the start lines. The St. Clair Parkway is closed to traffic allowing participants to spread out across the highway and make their way following the shore of the river to the finish line at Brander Park. Bands provide entertainment along the course, water stations are plenty, and photographers are eager to catch you in action. All participants receive a lanyard/medal & red technical t-shirt displaying the slogan ‘strong & free’. Prizes are awarded to age categories up to 80 years+. A great spread of food awaits you at the finish line and the splash pad is available to cool you
This is one of the largest and definitely the most scenic events in the area – – this year is especially nice with folks flying flags and decorations on their homes and docks in celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday. The minnow run for children aged 4-7 (approximately) takes place immediately following the medal ceremony.
All proceeds go to the construction and maintenance of the popular St. Clair River Trail.
