ABOUT EMMA DONOGHUE:
Born in Dublin, Ireland, in October 1969, Emma Donogue has released eight novels. ROOM was shortlisted for the 2010 Man Booker Prize, the Orange Prize for Fiction, the Trillium English Book Award, and International Author of the Year (Galaxy National Book Awards).
Donoghue’s screenplay for ROOM was nominated for an Academy Award (Best Adapted Screenplay) and a Golden Globe (Drama Screenplay). Brie Larson won the Academy Award for Actress in a Leading Role and Golden Globe for Best Performance by Actress in a Leading Dramatic Role for her portrayal of Donaghue’s character, Joy “Ma” Newsome, in ROOM. ROOM won the Canadian Screen Award for Best Film, the Irish Film and Television Academy Award for Best Film, and the Grolsch People’s Choice Award at Toronto International Film Festival.
Her latest novel, THE WONDER, will be released in September of 2016.
