Limited Mobility Accessible, Countryside Setting
This small farm was purchased in the summer of 2020 with the intention of it being, not only a vacation home for the owner, but a home‐away‐from‐home for short‐term rental guests. The Bentpath Getaway property is bordered by the Sydenham River and the Shetland Conservation Area. A 30‐acre field crop surrounding the house on three sides makes the location very private.
From their personal experience while travelling, the owner had a particular interest in making Bentpath Getaway as accessible as possible for anyone with mobility issues. Considerations were given to folks who are less agile and physically more likely to have some special needs. That focus led to extensive renovations taking place over the next several months to provide a welcoming and comfortable location where extended families could come together and all generations be able to participate in any activities with equal advantage. Of special note, we have a chair lift from the drive to the deck and an elevator available from the main floor to the lower level (including the entertainment area with 85” TV) for those with limited mobility.
We are happy to be able to offer our guests the opportunity to come and simply enjoy the company of family and friends in a lovely countryside setting, surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature, with space enough to stretch out and feel at home.
