Located on the site of the first North American commercial oil well, see where and how the modern oil industry burst into being at this National Historic Site: Canada’s First Oil Wells. The Oil Museum of Canada portrays Lambton County’s significant oil story through preservation and presentation of artifacts, culture and history.

Climate controlled 2-floor museum plus outdoor buildings & displays, working exhibits & a wealth of petroleum industry artifacts ‘show & tell’ how events unfolded in this district and oil history was made. Unique history – fascinating stories – of interest for everyone! Wheelchair access main floor and outside.
