Nao Santa Maria

The Nao Santa María is one of Huelva’s hallmarks and its columbine vocation. It suggests and evokes the region’s ships, seamen, the seafarer’s tradition and its most universal history. All over the world it is recognized as a symbol of this history of encounters and mutual awareness which the province of Huelva celebrates now on its 525th Anniversary.

Bluenose II

The original Bluenose was launched March 26th, 1921 in Lunenburg, N.S. The fishing and racing schooner was undefeated for 17 years in the International Fisherman’s Race and represented Canada around the world. In 1937, her image was adorned on the Canadian dime and remains on the coin today. The Bluenose sank in 1946 after hitting a reef near Haiti. Her replica, Bluenose II, was built in Lunenburg in the same shipyard, and launched in 1963. She recently went through a restoration and will be sailing into Toronto for the first time in 10 years.

Picton Castle

The Barque Picton Castle is a three-masted tall ship based in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada and best known for our adventurous sail training voyages around the world.

Empire Sandy

Empire Sandy is a tall ship providing chartered tours for the public from Toronto, Canada. She was built as an Englishman/ Larch Deep Sea-class tugboat for war service by the British government in 1943. After the end of World War II she was renamed Ashford and then Chris M before reverting to the original name of Empire Sandy and being converted to a schooner.

Fair Jeanne

The 110-foot Fair Jeanne has sailed more than 150,000 nautical miles in the Great Lakes, the St. Lawrence Seaway, the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, and the Caribbean. She sleeps 36, has 10 sails and  masts that soar 80 feet into the air. The Fair Jeanne was built in the late Captain Fuller’s backyard and was launched in 1982.

Appledore IV

The schooner Appledore IV is owned and operated by BaySail, a non-profit organization based in Bay City, Michigan. Tall ship adventures aboard Appledore IV further BaySail’s mission to “foster environmental stewardship of the Saginaw Bay watershed and the Great Lakes ecosystem and to provide personal development opportunities for learners of all ages through shipboard and land-based educational experiences.” Since its founding in 1998, more than 44,000 young people have experienced a BaySail education program.
