Lambton County Archives is the archival centre for genealogical and local history research in Lambton County. The Archives preserves and protects the documents that tell the stories of the people and places within the community and make those records accessible for researchers.

Search our files of family records, census records, birth records (to 1913), marriage records (to 1928) and death records (to 1938). Or browse through local papers such as the Sarnia Observer from 1853 to present, the Petrolia Topic, and the Forest Standard, to see what’s been making headlines in the County.

We also have corporate records, Land Registry information, historical atlases, Women’s Institute’s Records, Tweedsmuir Books, the local branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society holdings, and much more!
