Meet the 2022 Ontario’s Blue Coast Summer Students

Meet the 2022 Ontario’s Blue Coast summer students. Follow us on social media and join the summer students as they visit fun and exciting attractions and businesses throughout Lambton County.
My name is Emma MacLean. I just graduated from St Patricks this year, which makes me 18. I am attending Fanshawe this September taking pre-health. From there I want to continue going to Fanshawe in their Medical Radiation Technology program. When I’m not working or with friends I love to read all different kinds of books. I also enjoy going to the gym and rollerblading.
My name is Megan Rivait. I graduated from Great Lakes Secondary School in 2021 and now attend Brock University for English Language and Literature and am minoring in Earth Science. I just completed my first year and am now heading into my second. I have a twin sister as well as an older sister. I enjoy travelling and spending time at the beach with my family and friends.
My name is Ethan Pearson. I am 21 years old and I am home from school for the summer! I am currently attending Durham College in the Video Production program. I just finished my first year at Durham this past April and I have 2 years left to go. I graduated from Northern in 2019 with some good grades I suppose you could say. During High School I played sports such as football and track and field, and I also used to play basketball and baseball. I enjoy skateboarding and playing golf every now and then with my friends. I also love music, pretty much all genres, and have actually been teaching myself piano over the last 2 years for fun. I also love to go out and party with my friends. I don’t really know much else to say besides I’m a pretty easy going guy who’s always looking for a good time and to make people laugh.
I’m Kara. I graduated from Northern in 2018, I recently graduated from Western with a BA in Sociology and Criminal Justice and I will be attending Fanshawe in the fall for the paralegal program. Sarnia-Lambton is one of the few places that always have beautiful sunsets, and one of my favorite things to do is to go and sit somewhere along the waterfront and read a book or crochet. I love walking along the St. Clair Parkway trail that is along the water with my dog and seeing all of the boats in the summer. Sarnia-Lambton has so much to offer all throughout the year, but during the summer with the nice weather, it makes living in Sarnia-Lambton so much better.
Hi, my name is Sydney Hughes and I am a new member of the Blue Coast team. I graduated from Northern Collegiate in 2021, and now attend McMaster University for Commerce studies. I hope to focus my learnings on marketing and communications in the next few years. In my spare time I enjoy going paddle boarding with friends and visiting my cottage. My favourite place in the world is San Diego, but nothing beats a Sarnia sunset!
My name is Carter Barron, I am from Sarnia Ontario and currently am a sophomore at the University of Maine. In school I am enrolled in the Business school, majoring in Finance and Sport Management. I grew up very active around Sarnia-Lambton participating in a lot of the local athletic teams. Some hobbies I enjoy are cycling, golfing and art.
